Krl791 top box

I am looking for a used snap on krl791 top box . Space is limited in my garage .
Where I will have to put the box the lid will not be able to stay open . So my question is will the drawers still open and shut if the lid is closed all the time ?

I do believe the drawers will open with the top closed. There is a lever under the top that locks and unlocks the drawers.

How about a KRA2408? No top compartment to worry about and its cheaper.
