Hi guys, I'm new here, so forgive me if this type of post is overdone, but I saw this for sale and I'm trying to find info on it, and if it's worth the $200 the guy is selling it for. I've searched the internet, but can't really find any info on the specific model, let alone KTS tools in general (aside from a website with new stuff). Any input would be much appreciated!

At a glance, I’d guess generic Taiwan made, the age should make it a decent one. No idea on value.

I think I'd move on.

Rusty Asian import just isn't worth $200, nor the effort to restore, unless you're aching for a project.

You should be able to find a vintage Delta or Craftsman for that price.

Generic older Asian imported sold under many names. Looks like a headache even at half that price.

I bought a bench top version of one of those when they began importing them, probably around 1980. It had so much chuck runout that I immediately exchanged it for another one after testing the second one at the store to make sure it didn’t have the same problem. i gave it to a friend a few years later and he is still using it. I think they sold new for around $40.00 for a bench top model and maybe $60.00 for a floor model. If the one being offered worked perfectly and I needed one I wouldn’t give over $80.00 for it. I see decent ones fairly often at estate sales.

More modern generic Asian import. Not necessarily bad. Has a table lift so that's a big plus for most.

If it's in good shape, runs good, and does what you need...
