Kubota subframe assembly weld failure

In my haste to point you down the right road, I forgot to give you THE most important advice when it comes to welding: WELD as much as you can. We can tell you all sorts of things to help you along the way, but the road to Hell is paved with the best of intentions but the road to good welds is paved with a LOT of wire, rod, gas, abrasives and scrap. You have already got the big picture clear - just do stuff and don't be shy about cutting it apart and doing it again.

FFS, folks! Pretty welds are great, and good penetration is an absolute--but look at early WWII weapons and vehicles! The British Sten gun, American G3, tanks, ships, etc... ******-looking welds won the war!

MY suggestion is for anybody with a similar pin and tube hole is if you have distortion you can use an old style wheel cylinder hone to fit the pin. Something most would not think off. The old hones would easily fit 3/4inch cylinders to about 1 and 1/4 inch bores.

This is the kind of job for which an old-fashioned stick welder is perfect, btw.
