Spent this weekend pulling wire and mounting a new motor, mag starter and cutout switch for the new (to me) compressor that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I asked Charles for a LOT of help in wiring the mag starter up the right way and he went the extra mile helping out a dumb old country boy.

I plugged in the disconnect this afternoon and it started right up, wrong rotation, but it started right up.... Quick switch of the motor control wires to correct it and it pumped up and shut off at 170 psi, kicked back on at 140 psi.

I have to say that Quincy is the quietest compressor that I have ever been around. You can carry on a normal conversation standing next to while running. Even better, there is no waiting for air. Can't wait for next weekend when the finished airline plumbing goes in.

If you ever buy a Siemens WS5-2301P Mag Starter, I can help with some pictures of how it gets wired. Once Charles helped out to let me know which terminals the pressure switch attached too, it was a fairly simple job but, like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words (which is about the number of words that Charles wrote to get me going...).

Again, thanks to a great guy who was willing to help a fellow GJ guy out.

Nice work Charles!

Congrats on the "new" Quincy, Georgia. It should last you a century at least.

I hope it lasts a long time, I almost killed myself unloading that thing by myself. It weighs about 800 pounds or so.

With a oil pump to force feed the bearings and a spin on oil filter to catch anything that gets in, these things look to be bullet proof. As long as I keep the valves serviced and the oil changed, it should last me the rest of my life. Of course as old as I am, a HF might last that long....
