Kure & Seal uneven appearance

My concrete guy did a great job with finishing my floor. Flat and smooth. He did use Kure & Seal as I do not plan on any paint or epoxy.

For several weeks it was uniform dark color with a wet look gloss. Since it has started to get lighter areas that seem to continue to grow larger. From what I can find on internet it looks like maybe over application of the Kure & Seal product. A solution suggested is to mop with solvent to re liquify the product and spread it out.

Anyone experience this and is that the best way. This is a working/storage garage so a showroom finish is not needed but it is starting to look pretty poor.

Normally during hydration of concrete it will lighten more and more once the moisture vacates the concrete. This is very interesting. The sealer, was it called Cure-N-Seal? Been awhile since I've used that product and can't remember if that was a solvent or water based carrier.

The last photo looks as if the concrete is wet or is that the sealer gloss?

Most of the time when the concrete is blotchy during the drying process, the lighter blotches are due to no sealer on the concrete allowing it to dry quicker.

A cure and seal type sealer is supposed to be applied thinly and evenly. All acrylic sealers need to be applied this way actually. A water based sealer can be worked up using denatured alcohol. A solvent based sealer use a solvent like xylene, even gasoline will wake it up.

used cure n seal on mine about 4 hrs after it was trowelled. I put 2 coats on with a roller. It looks like maybe they sprayed it with a garden sprayer and its so thin that the moisture is comming out of the concrete at the white places. I would hose it off clean with water and as soon as it dried up ROLL more cur n seal on it. Mine is a dark even color, but I do recoat it once a year.

The floor is not wet in either picture. I believe it's water based.

I don't have any denatured alcohol or xylene right now but a few drops of gasoline
liquified/melt it.

B964,
I just had some concrete poured and the contractor used Tk products sealer on my slab, a week later it looks a lot like yours did.

He told me the glossy areas is the sealer that did not set up and the entire slab should have dried to a dull finish (sounds backwards to me).
He says the reason it did not set up properly is due to it drying too slow because of the 2" foam insulation, and it is an inside pour.
His solutions are to either let it keep curing or apply a liquid stripper and reapply. I don't really like the liquid stripper solution because I am concerned it can migrate down to the insulation and damage it.

Seeing you had a similar situation, what are your thoughts?
What did you end up doing to correct your situation and how did it turn out, any pics?

Thanks
