I searched around but couldn't find any information on the stamping on it. It only has KUSTERMANN, nothing else except a Capital "B" with a Sideways "A" with an arrow drawn though it, I'll try to get a good photo of it if I can. Posted photos of the kustermann stamp and the AB stamp. I'm thinking the AB may be an owners mark of the jeweler or craftsman? Or..... maybe Kustermann is the owner?? Anyone know?
Anyway, I didn't find any info using that name having anything to do with tools.

I recently purchased for $4 this small hand vise. Not in bad shape but the wing nut and clamping bolt are both bent and a little worse for wear!

Any idea about this tool? Kustermann is apparently a German name.

here are some photos, both closed and open.....

While I don't think that all tools need to be cleaned and repainted, I thought this small vise would be better served by doing so. I doubt it was originally painted but that's progress??

Anyway, cleaned it up, wire brushed it, straightened the threaded bolt, painted and reassembled.

Enjoy it in all it's beauty for this won't be sitting on a shelf, it was purchased to use and with use comes chips and scratches!
