Kwik-Lift users I have some questions?

I recently picked up a second hand Kwik-Lift semi local off Craigslist. I got it for $200 it's a 5000lb powder coated unit with a single center bridge. I couldn't pass up the price.

I have started playing with it but I've ran into a couple hickups that I'm wondering what you guys have done to work around.

1) The vehicles seem to be too high for me to work in the engine bay, granted these are standard height cars or higher, not a low height Corvette. I was thinking about getting like a step stool but I was wondering if there is a better idea?

2) With the center bridge I can't seem to find anything (scissor jack, bottle jack, etc) that is tall enough to lift the car off the ramps to remove the wheels. Is there a longer bottle jack somewhere that you guys use, or are you using extensions, etc?

3) I can't seem to see any possible way of using an engine hoist with this setup, am I wrong here?

Thanks in advance!!

That is a great deal you got. I stand on the ramp usually straddling the the front wheels of my Camaro. It can be awkward.

This is what you need but it costs more Than your lift.

I build those lifts.... each one is bent by a person...

Lol, I'm not sure if you're saying that they get bent while being used?

I haven't heard of them being bent while in use, but we run them on a huge press brake with custom dies. Heavy bastids after about 80 pieces lol
