I am building a small hunting cabin in Northern Michigan and I am going to use a ventless L.P. gas for heat, My question is: can I run that flexible gas line or should it be copper tubing ? and what size tubing ? thanks Bob

The maximum size allowed for a vent free heater is 40,000 btu. You can use 1/2" pipe. VF heaters are specifically prohibited in sleeping areas. Make sure you have a good CO detector in the space. Vent free heaters are safe. Make sure you are too.

CO detector underlined for emphasis.

I understand that modern vent free heaters have interlocks built in as well to limit carbon monoxide exposure, but they still make me nervous...if you can swing it I think a vented heater would be a better choice.

Get yourself a vented heater. Ventless are best for suplament heat as a back up source or for a cold area like a back room or breeze way. I have one in the back room complements the furnace works fine.
Stand alone too much moisture in the building. Dust all over.
If it’s a part time camp get a Empire DV 35. If you live it get a Rinnai vented unit.
I’ve been in LP Gas for years. This has been my experience.

We use a ventless in our hunting cabin. It has flex line for the entire run. The tank is located in the crawlspace inside a "cabinet". This setup is over 20 years old.

We crack a window while it is running and we use a CO2 detector.
