Hey guys,
I have no idea what they're called. They're t-shaped on the ground with a rod that's vertical. It's hinged at the bottom so a hydraulic piston moves the upright.
It slides under a car, and the upright gets chains attached to pull bodies/frames straight.
Anyhow, I'll be making one start to finish tomorrow, should be fun! Using a porta-power cylinder for the powerplant. This is just a temporary tool until their large frame machines comes in from out of state.
Anyone ever use/make one before?
*EDIT*
I remembered the name. They're called "Versa pullers".
I'm building one hopefully start to finish tomorrow. The main body and upright are going to be either 4x4.25" or 5x5x.375" depending on what's in stock at the supplier. I'm leaning more towards 4x4 since any lack of strength can be addressed with gussets and reinforcements.
Should be fun day tomorrow! I have 2 sheets of .25", half a sheet of .5" and lots of odds and ends. It will be built on-site, which is always lots of fun to me! Building something in the shop is easy, having to do it on site is a challenge I love to have!
I'll take bunch of pictures for you guys tomorrow!
