That's a nice looking ladder, I wish I had one. I'm more of a tool belt guy myself. Ladders get moved too much for me to be hanging things off of them. That said, the first thing I thought of that I'd do is attach some hooks so that a tool belt could wrap around that guardrail part. That way you could change out the pouches and such, and just throw it around your waist when it came time to work on the ground.

I use a tool pouch at work, but never actually wear it, just carry the belt over my shoulder.

What I added was a hook intended for hanging a bucket of paint. I clipped it to a carabiner which I then hooked to the belt loop of the pouch. That was I can hang it from anything at a convenient height.

Great idea. I have sciatica and arthritis in my hip and can't stand wearing a belt. I do a lot of work where the ladder stays put for extended periods while I'm up and down cutting material, etc.
