Does anyone know of ladders made in U.S.A.? Specifically, I'm interesting in 32', aluminum, and 300 lbs. I might also need 16' in the A-frame style that I'd feel more comfortable with fiberglas.

Michigan Ladder Company makes ladders in Ypsilanti.

"All of our products that are either manufactured or distributed by Michigan Ladder" - made it seem like only a few models might be made in U.S.A. I have requested their catalog, though. I didn't thinkt hat it was worth requesting with that information in the about us. I figured that only wooden ladders or small ladders would be.

I just emailed with Louisville customer service, about these specific model numbers:

AE1232HD - 32' aluminum extension, 375lb capacity
AE2232 - 32' aluminum extension, 300lb capacity
AE2832 - 32' aluminum extension, 300lb capacity

Those meet the OP's requirement. They're made in Mexico.

Further, depending on the model of ladder, others are made in the USA, Mexico or China.

Featherlite ladders are made in Canada (not USA). But VERY good ladders. Their fiberglass ladders are the standard in industry, millwrights to linesmen. Heavy duty and well made.

Featherlite is the first company that comes to mind regarding ladders. Been around for decades.

Isn’t Werner made here?

I don't think that any of Werner's are. For sure everyone that I've seen at Lowe's and The Home Depot have not been.

Some Little Giant ladders are assembled here from Chinese parts. I might call Sunset ladders on Monday. It doesn't post prices nor country of origin, but it's worth a shot.

Babcock Ladders are/used to be made in Bath, NY. Looks like they could have been bought up by:

http://www.bauerladder.com/safety-ladder/

Bauer Corporation / Babock Co., Inc. are America's last remaining exclusively-domestic manufacturers of ladders in America with plants in Wooster, Ohio and Bath, New York, respectively.

Lynn Ladders near Boston still says:

We continue to manufacture many products in the United States. This provides many local jobs and allows us to make different custom products with a quick turnaround, giving us a competitive edge.

Louisville Ladders moved out back in the late 90s. I used to fix P.L.C.s and machine issues for both their plants in Louisville. One plant made fiber and Alum. ladders and the other one made wooden ladders.

Shoot! Werner went overseas? Dang it - I thought they were one of the good ol companies.
When did they outsource?

I bought an older short step ladder at an estate sale recently. Says U S of A on it.

Werner and Louisville are both made in Mexico now. Used to be made (assembled) in USA with parts imported from Mexico.

Michigan and Bauer are made in USA, Metallic ladder as well. But these companies offer a smaller selection of styles than Werner and Louisville. Bauer is the only manufacturer I know of that makes a 48’ fiberglass ladder.

Wing (Little Giant) makes their higher end ladders in Utah. Smaller ladders are imported.

Well. The parent company is probably owned by 3 dudes from China and 2 from Taiwan and the bean counter is probably a Vietnamese chick.
The guys who glue them together in ol'#1 are probably a couple wops.A guy from Iceland, 3 rednecks and a kid from El Salvador.
Now.Are the ladders nice ? Price OK ?
Guarantee ? Buy the thing.

His post had zero mention of any particular race. What the **** are you talking about? Lets talk about ladders, please.

Featherlite is the industrial standard here, and they're made here in Canada as well. Is that close enough to the USA for ya?

Green Bull ladders were bought by Werner in 2008, but they claim that a majority of their products are still made in the USA. Louisville, Kentucky to be exact.

Heavy duty ladders for commercial and Industrial uses. Type I and Ia ratings for use on jobsites.

Google Green Bull Ladders to reach their site.

Not familiar with racial slurs for Italian Americans, are you? Glad to see the mods removed the offensive post.

Wing (Little Giant) makes their higher end ladders in Utah. Smaller ladders are imported.

I recently looked at the Little Giant Ladder website, and the only product I found that was made in USA was the super high end stuff for firefighters.

Everything else I looked at (not everything they made though) was made in China.

Still made in USA pricing, though.

I have their 1AA aluminum A frame style ladder, which was made in USA. The less expensive and lighter duty model with the red labeling on the sides was made in China.

I went through this a while back. Needed a couple ladders. Found a nice fiberglass Keller USA 10' on Craigs. Needed a 4' and 6'. The big box guys (Louisville and Werner/Keller [Keller is owned by Werner]) are Mexican made. North American is better than Chinese so I own 3 more Werners.

Google Green Bull Ladders to reach their site.

When I reached out to Green Bull I learned that all extensions are made in Mexico.
