Many if not most laminate floor manufacturers suggest the combination of a neutral cleaner and acrylic floor finish -- not like the stuff we talk about for garages. Its not going to help you with a stain but is a good way to protect the floor. How big of an area do you have --total?

depends on the laminate and how deep the scratches/stains are? If they are still in the top layer of wood, then you may get some satisfaction with a renew kit. I use a mix of Old English furniture polish and touch up the deep scratches with Q-tips, then a good cleaning with warm water and lemon oil, let them dry and good to go, will last several months.

urine stains will need to be neutralized and cleaned very well, to reduce the long term damage. As these are stains and have likely seeped in to the grain, my process may not give you much satisfaction.

best of luck

Just out of curiosity, what brand of floor is it? The reason I ask is that we have three dogs with toenails and they are constantly sliding on the floor, and we have yet had a scratch in it. We did have a couple of edges that looked like they were bare for some reason and the wife had a brown magic marker close to the floor color and you can't tell what edges she did. Instead of spending $80 for a kit, I think I would get some stain to match the floor as close as possible to cover the scratches. As far as a couple urine stains......you may just have to replace those sections.

I found this

It sounds like your laminate is not of good quality as I have not seen something like Pergo scratch like in the picture. The more expensive laminate have a wear rating of AC3 or AC4 and you key it fairly hard to make a scratch. It should not stain either. I had the pergo for over 10 years and it shows a lot of streaks, but barely any scratches or stains, only weak point is liquid can soak in between the planks.
