Hi all

Seems like you want to see the inside of a little ole British man space.

I couldn't seem to get much of a location for an outside picture, may have to get a stepladder out for that and i'm not the world's best with a camera but here goes...

My space is 19x9. Fortunately I have a fairly small car...

Really with this amount of space you need to be very tidy. I'm not. Oh, and I hoard stuff that will be useful "one day" ;)

There's still some junk to throw out but it's sooooo hard...

When I moved in here the garage was a damp and rather nasty place to be. The roof was made from sheet asbestos which had become porous over time and dripped water everytime it rained. The door was a manual up and over that jumped out of its runners at the worst possible times (usually late at night when it was raining and I had just returned from a business trip).

So, I've replaced the roof with OSB covered with 2 layers of roofing felt, I've had an automatic roller door installed (roller doors don't seem to be popular stateside, why's that?), I've used HD PVC tiles on the floor and whitewashed the brick walls. Just started to sort out storage a little...

Not sure I'm going to update this as a project for a while tho' I would like to replace the shelving with cabinets one day, right now I want to get stuck in to some Porsche spannering :D

It's not much, but it's mine:thumbup:

1995 C4.

She's over 122,000 miles now (watching for the numbers to hit 123,456 but I bet I miss it) and a little battle scarred but she's made for driving...

Good lookin Carrera.. It easy to forget with all these massive garages on the board that sometimes you don't have the option to go bigger. I'd imagine on the other side of the pond its hard to expand?

No quakes, the only natural disaster is rain.

Land is obviously a lot more expensive, and permission to build/extend while possible isnt always easy.

To be honest while we can be jealous of the bigger spaces I think I'm more admiring of the range and availability of some of the kit you guys have in your shops. There are much fewer options to choose from here and they are higher priced!

:) Ya know......It's cozy......you've done a nice job of making it usable. I like the floor and the painted walls (brightens it up ) . The more I see it ....the cooler it is. All I gots is a fluggin carport !

I too think the term cozy would be an accurate, but compliment intended description as well. Not all garages over here are so large, there are many like me who's space is really rather cozy as well! Well done indeed, bravo!

What's with all the ladders....lol

Inherited, all useful and my inability to throw anything away.

Thanks for all the comments, cozy is fine by me.

I remain awestruck by some of the places on here. It keeps inspiring me to improve and enhance
