I thought i would buy a cheap detector but i havent ordered one yet. I was in town today and thought i would go buy the realtors to see what they had to say. They said the map had been changed and printed me off a copy. I dont know if this is real or made up i will call the map place in the morning and see. I dont want to be one of those guys that everyone screams get it surveyed and shut up but life is busy.I dont know if the yellow line was the blue line before but its not were the blue line was. They are trying to say the orange line is the true line but what about the north side why would it be like this and not follow the creek? I hope i can measure the one fence tomorrow. I tryed to make it clearer but this is the best i could do.IMG_20211201_210251.jpg

so I put your early photo and this last photo side by side and for the clarity they are, I can't see a difference. Where did it change? As to "maps" changing, the legal description doesn't change unless someone files changes, and the county approves them. Maybe a different aerial view is used but the plat map you have from when you bought or inherited the property, and the one on file at the county now should be the same. If you didn't get a title policy / warranty when you bought or inherited the property guaranteeing the legal description and liens of record, that is on you unfortunately. I usually update my title policy once every 10 years or so because the face value of the policy doesn't keep up with inflation. I also want proof there are no other liens of record that have been filed I was not aware of - any loans have proper reconveyances filed when they are paid off etc..
