Landscape design software recommendations?

I am looking at updating the landscape around the outside of our house and garage area.

Landscape design in 2D is acceptable, with 3D as a bonus.

I have an older HGTV version, and it is pretty limited as to what can be done with it from an landscape design standpoint.

I am looking for design image templates, with plant selections, and media formats.

I don't want a full blown CAD program, and definitely not a $1500 price tag.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is what I used for my garage addition design. Ended up modeling the whole lot, house, ground contours, elevations, and landscaping.
