Lang Tools

Anyone know anything about them or A&E Tools, their parent? They seem to be US made tools with the company beginning in the '30s and may be from Wisconsin. I just bought a set of thread chasers for my occasional DIY use and they seem to be pretty decent. From what I read, Kastar is part of the family. I know that its not Snapon, but it it is US made stuff and hopefully its decent.

I have one of their fuel pressure kits, I think it's very good quality. They rebrand for several tool companies, including tool truck brands.

Actually some of it is "snap on" because snap on sells some of their tools labeled snap on. The same thread chasers you bought are the ones snap on sells. The only difference is the name on the case and snap on warranties them where lang/kastar says they are a consumable item.

There's lots of other tools also, like ratcheting bit wrench among other mostly specialty tools.

Most lang is relabled. But good quality from what ive seen. Kastar, lang, star, a&e most of its all the same at diff price points. Alot of its the same stuff cornwell, mac, snap-on, & matco sell. Just the tool trucks have better warrenty that comes along with the inflated price. Reason why i typically buy off the truck.

they are located in Wisconsin. Kastar is now called lang

And weren't/aren't the big Proto ratcheting wrenches Northern is blowing out at $15 ea re-labeled Kastar, or the other way around?
