Hi, I have a 15.6 in heavily modified Thinkpad W530. I needed a case to carry it and the massive power brick around. I don't need great protection, obviously i want some but it doesn't have to be a Pelican. What are you guys running, and I would like to keep it around $50. I would like foam in a hard case, but a sturdy soft one would be fine as well. Thank you.

I have a "Color Kinetics" soft case, 10" x 13" interior dimensions, and a bunch of other pockets, if you can use it. It came with an older Gateway laptop that I don't ever intend to carry around (batteries are shot anyway, so it needs to be plugged in). That would be around $10 and postage.

I travel weekly with my Codi Diplomat computer bag. It is nylon, very well made, lightweight and perfect size for a 14 - 17 inch laptop with a power supply, wallet, phone, work papers. It is more than $50. I've had mine for 4 + years and still looks good.
