Laptop scope for automotive

I ordered up a new laptop just last week. I was thinking of looking into getting a scope to use at my work. I'm master tech at a Firestone and the scope would come in handy with a lot of the diagnostics I do. Was also debating on a program that work like a scanner as well, I have herd some good thins from some other techs.

Was wondering if anybody knew of a good brand for either of what In looking for, or even a place to look.
Experience info with the products would be great as well

Picoscope is the best laptop-based scope for automotive use, hands down. The ATS EScope Pro is also good, and has one feature that Pico doesn't have, which is a "deep record" mode to capture a waveform over a really long time.

Good sites to buy a Picoscope from are AESwave.com and autonerdz.com.

Aftermarket scan tools for laptops - do you want only basic code reading and generic OBD2 live data, or do you also want bidirectional controls and module-specific diagnostics and data? Autoenginuity and EASE Diagnostics are two to consider, with Autoenginuity being the cheaper option. Any aftermarket scan tool will have its problems compared to the factory tools.

Since you do this for a living it seems like a Snap On Verus would be something to consider, if you think it will eventually earn its cost. Not laptop based though.

I currently have a solus pro that I'm getting rid of. Don't use it much, I'm mostly interested in a scope but it would be something I use at home as well. I've looked into a modis but not what I want to spend at the moment.
Was just seeing if there was anything available out there
