I have an assortment of metal plate and various scraps that I want to soak in Evaporust to treat. I am trying to find some sort of plastic bin to use that is very long and wide, but shallow and flat. The largest thing I have right now is a 26x26" plate. I've been looking at Lowes/HD at the various rubbermaid type containers, and looking online at Tractor Supply at feed bins and etc. Can't quite find what I'm looking for. Any ideas?

2x4s + shower pan liner vinyl = big vat.

Used this technique to catch battery acid overspill during charging at a job where we charged 6-8 batteries every night.

Wrapping paper storage boxes are typically wide, flat, and long.

And yeah, electrolysis is easy too. Run a perimeter wire of steel (rebar is great for this if you're going to do this a lot) around the sides of the container, then use a copper wire to connect to your metal piece in the middle. in the solution made of water and laundry soda. Yeah, it's called that. Laundry soda, not soap.

It helps to put the item to be cleaned on standoffs inside the tub. Small pieces of wood work fine. That way you can treat the bottom side at the same time.

Hook up a 12 volt battery charger to the leads and put your metal in there. Go to bed, go to work the next day and you'll come home to find shiny clean metal.
