Needs some help trying to decide which crowsfoot set to buy. Looking for a set roughly 1''to 2'' half inch drive. . Not really looking to spend $700 or $800 dollars for snap-on or proto as I will only use these occasionally. Just wondering if anyone had and or using one of the less expensive sets offered by atd,v8, grip. etc. thanks..

I have the GRIP SAE set, use it on my Jeep's control arm jamb nuts. Good for the few times I use them.

how much you willing to spend? I have been going the ebay route in my hunt. usually 10-15 bucks per piece or less. i have bought 4 this way for inner tie rod sizes i use a lot. granco, bonney, proto and snap on so far for cheap.

Craftsman has SAE and metric sets that are about $50 each set and more complete than the sunex sets and are fully chromed, good quality.

I have the sunex sets from 1" to 2 1/4". I think I paid about 170. Good fit, finish, and warranty. Only possible complaint it they are thinker than snap on. But I have not yet had it be an issue

I have the V8 set. They work, although I suggest "aiming higher". Not necessarily tool truck, but probably would get the T&E if I have to do it all over again.

A few fit kinda iffy.

I use a whole lot of the sizes, some guys might only use a few and it would be ok for them.

thanks for all the input. where do you buy t&e tools. Tooltopia does not list much for them and I don't think anyone around my area carries their line. My Matco guy said he could get me a summitt brand? for decent money. No, it is not summit racing. Ichecked. My matco guys district manager called them an approved vender for what thats worth.:lol_hitti

I have looked into martin but it seems they only offer the 12 point flare nut. I think for the sake of simplicity I want an open end style.
