All,

I just got a shock, this morning. I just found out that my Lift Master, MT5011 is not UL325 compliant. This means that the installers are pulling it out. Lift master does not recomend the MT in a residencial application.

Thing is, no one makes a UL325 compliant door opener that will open a 18x14 door. What's a guy to do if he actually wants to do what the law says???

If you can wait a month or so I'll be offering a door opener that will work the door. I have one now but like the Liftmaster it won't pass the UL code. Last time I spoke with them they said it would be a couple of months, that was a couple of months ago.

I'm guessing you need it to open the full 14' every time it opens? If not Liftmaster makes the ATS series that will work up to a 12' door and is UL compliant.

PM me if you are interested in the other opener I'll get you the info.
