I remember at some point I found a company that handled both the delivery and setup of bendpak lifts, but now I can't seem to find it.

I am going to get the Bendpak SP-7X. Its a damn heavy lift (and gets delivered in a very bulky format), and according to the bedpak guys you need an extended forklift to safely move it without risking bending it. On a scale of 1 to 10, my personal strength is a 0, and when I picture operating a forklift with a bunch of friends and beer, I can see a destroyed lift and possibly jailtime and lawyer fees. :p

I am having the floor pre-routed for a flush install- its going to be really slick. It NEEDS to be, becuase my garage is very small and every last bit helps. Plus my wife said I could. I gotta strike while the iron is hot (I bet she will want babies after this fiasco is over).

Can anyone recommend a place to just order it, and they will come one day and install the whole damn thing without me doing anything but watching? I understand this is counter to the DIY nature of us all, but as I have grown old I've learned when to admit that something is beyond my abilities.

A: Where are you located?

B: I believe BendPak may maintain a list of "authorized" installers.

C: SP-7X is a mid-lift...just bolt together like an erector set. It's a 12-packer @ most.

I added my location to my profile- sorry about that. I am in Miami, FL. As for the lift specs, it actually lifts 68", which I thought was full rise. Nonetheless, the shipping weight is listed at 2,318lbs!!! Link: http://www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/specialty-lifts/SP-7X.aspx

I am fairly confident that I could bolt something like this together, but I'm totally not up to the task of moving something of this size even an inch, so I guess if I am already hiring guys to place it into the tracks I cut in the floor, I may as well have them finish it.

I unloaded/unpacked my BendPak 10k two-post lift myself, no forklift. You can do it (just watch your toes).

P.S. - I realize your lift is "full" rise, but out of habit, I call all those scissor lifts "mid-rise" as I can't walk under them without hitting my head.

I dunno- the Benkpak guy I spoke to on the phone yesterday was really pressing the issue of using an extended forklift to get this thing unloaded. He said they had issues with damaged units resulting from improper unloading. I really just want to stroke a check and have this thing installed and tested without me doing anything else.

Hey- I see you are in South Florida- wanna install this for me? I will provide snacks.

I would recommend Dave Shedlock @ Workshop Depot. I got my HD-9xw from him and he treated me great. He has installers all over the country.

I just had my lift installed yesterday. The guy was the most efficient professional I have seen in a long time!

He did the whole job in three hours, just him and his forklift.

I highly recommend him, I would ask for Dave. He goes all over the state.

He charged $477.00

I bought the lift from Chris at Affordable Auto Equipment in Orlando by telephone. 407-291-7554

Bendpak 10,000 asymmetric wide $3,300.00 installed.

The entire transaction was handled by telephone and I am very pleased.

I have some ISSUES with this thread!!!!

It NEEDS to be, becuase my garage is very small and every last bit helps. Plus my wife said I could. I gotta strike while the iron is hot (I bet she will want babies after this fiasco is over).

1. If THAT garage is "very small" - - do you live in an AIRPORT?!?!?!:wtf:

2. Your wife "Said you could"??????? Talk about WHIPPED......oh never mind, my wife said I couldn't..... ;)

3. And.....If babies are gonna be the trade-off, then send the LIFT back!!!!:bounce:
