About 1" around at it's thickest point. I still use sometimes it to radius large holes, although it doesn't compare to a die grinder.

It was my great grandfathers, don't know how old but I know it is rather old!

I wish there was a way to sharpen these, although I bet it would cost a ton. Don't think anything like these are made anymore. Never seen the company before.


Thanks for looking and please share if you have something similar. I just thought it was neat and figured somebody else would.:dunno:

Since it's Grandpa's, I'd leave it alone and just hang onto it. Otherwise, I'd throw it in a forge and beat it into some knives.

There's a company that one of the members posted about that sharpens files. You mail it to them, and when they're done they mail it back. If I remember, the service can be expensive. But if they can do round files, it may be worth it. IDK.
