I am looking at the snapon 54" prybar as I live in Canada. The mayhew looks nice but at 80$ us, after conversion and my cost to get it if I ship or pu in buffalo is almost the same.

Any one here recommend another long prybar or where I can get the mayhew in Canada?

Not sure of any other quality brands for a bar that large.

Here's the Mayhew offering from the G2S equipment supplemental catalogue I got from my snappy guy. Not great prices but the 58" is about $75 or so cheaper than the retail price of the 54" snap on.

I have both snap on and mayhew , i prefer the snap on by a long shot. I wont even use the other ones they flex like a diving board. Never know whats going to happen when what your prying lets loose.

I might give the mayhew a shot. Not sure yet, but I live close enough to the border that I can ship it to Buffalo.

Thanks

A few years ago I picked up a set of Richard pry bars (made in Canada) that are in every way the equal of my Mayhew pry bar. I did a quick look at their web page and I don't see them. They are called RICHARD PRY BAR - Ergo-Grip, Richard being the company that makes painting supplies. I have several in different lengths as well as bent and straight ends. You might contact Richard and see if they are still being made.

They look like these.

Last time I went to a used tool store in Hamilton I saw a few real long Matco pry bars for $100 . If I had a choice I would go Snap On.
