Need to get a larger snap ring pliers. All I see on amazon is chinese stuff. Cheap snap ring pliers ****. My smaller ones are knipex but I didn't see larger ones from them. Need it for a superduty hub right now and lisle makes one just for them but they don't get the best reviews and figure if I can get one that isn't job specific I can use it for other stuff also in the future.

I have some from icon including some of the larger ones and they've done everything I've asked. I found out just how much the tips have been hardened when I tried to bend a pair to suit a specific purpose.

I have the big Knipex ones for that job. Lisle and about 7 other companies sell a rebranded (maybe Kastar oem?) Set of ratcheting ones that are great but you have to hit it just right to do a super duty hub.

The Knipex are the 4611A3

I know you aren't a fan of the chinese stuff, but the harbor freight Icon snap ring plier set is pretty nice. They have a large set that works well for the superduty hubs.

I have a larger Knipex pair that works great for Ford hubs. I have a friend who has a shop and watched me one time use my Knipex to change the snap ring with ease. He couldn't believe it since it took 2 guys at his shop 30 minutes just to get the ring off. He borrowed my pair to finish up and ordered a pair for his shop.

That is the pair I linked above and ordered today. Thank you for the part number to confirm they are what is needed.

I love my smaller knipex snap rings pliers and am glad to find a bigger one that works good.

It's made in Taiwan, not China.

^^ yep the Knipex 4911A3 is what I have for the super duty hubs. > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003UHUDIO/?tag=atomicindus08-20
I had ordered the 4611a3 yesterday already, 8.25" long. But ordered the 4911a3 this morning also, 9" long. The 4611a3 has the traditional pliers joint, machined and pressed I think. The 4911a3 has a torx screw for the joint. Either one of those should work good. Need to go through and see what other sizes I need to complete my knipex snap ring plier selection.

I just got the Icon 8 pcs set for mid to larger rings. However, acording to the packaging it is made in China. Unless HF now considers Taiwan part of China to stay in their good graces. ??? It does not even say designed in USA, like the 10" Pliers wrench.
