I use stubby wrenches a fair bit and have a Williams 3/8-3/4 set plus Gear wrench 13/16,7/8,15/16.

I saw that Northern has (on ebay) a 1" stubby but no 1-1/16 or 1-1/8. Who all makes these sizes? Am I better off making some out of full size wrenches possibily?

Just buy some HF ones and cut out a few inches and weld them back up. You shouldn't be able to put too much pressure on a stubby anyway so I wouldn't worry about the welds.

What mainlywould use/need them for is truck air fittings and maybe hydro hoses/fittings. I can break them loose with a regular wrench and "spin them out" with the stubbys as they are usually tighter than finger tight and there's limited room for a longer wrench.
