Larger version of a cantilever rolling toolbox?

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been covered, but my searches haven't found anything.

My wife likes to garden, and keeps some of her gardening stuff and the kids garden toys etc in a few bags and boxes in the garage. I'd like to organize it so that she can just roll the whole shebang out to the garden when she's out there.

I was looking into rolling toolboxes with bigger wheels that could roll over grass etc. The only things I've found are the cantilever suitcase-sized rolling boxes such as the Stanley Fat Max. But, they seem pretty small. Does anything larger exist? I actually like the idea of the fat max, but it just needs to be bigger.

I'm aware there are high end, super expensive mechanics boxes with big pneumatic wheels etc - that's not what's needed in our case - just something to hold a bunch of garden tools and kids toys!

Thanks in advance,

Lee

Don't ask.
Most gardening tools don't fit in mechanics tool boxes. My advice is get a wagon. Mount some storage containers (milk crates or 5 gallon buckets work well.
Also would be nice to have a "rack" for long handle tools.
Years ago I converted a 2 wheel cart by attaching a couple milk crates at the base and a hoop around the top. My grandfather used it for his long handled tools, basically a shovel, hoe and rake.

Space is at a premium in the garage, so vertical storage is better than horizontal. A wagon would be much more in the way

Thanks

Would a golf bag on a cart work for her? I saw one in a garden with a rake, shovel and a hoe as yard art but I see no reason it would not work for real.

You can always add larger wheels to the tool box of your choice. A Z bracket setup that moves the wheels out from under the box and up so it's still pretty low, but with larger wheels seems like it would work pretty well for this application.

That seems like the best option, I think. Maybe one of the Rubbermaid toolboxes might be a good starting point

I had to look up a chicken tractor! Great idea, but our garden is pretty tiny at 8ft x 25ft. I'm having a hard time convincing my wife to let me build her a small shed for the purpose, because it would cut down on garden space...

My garage is even worse.... I just brought home a CNC lathe basket case, which has made walking around the other machines <ahem> difficult....

Thanks everyone!
