What brand has the most complete combination wrench set or most complete wrench set in general? I am looking to upgrade my combination wrenches from HF to a more industrial quality brand. Was looking at SK then at Proto and again at Wright. So far it appears for sae and metric the Wright sets have the largest coverage. They also carry a hefty price tag. Feel free to give any experience you have with any of the brands as well.

As others will say, Craftsman (either raised panel or professional/industrial) are good quality wrenches with a low price tag. They also cover a good range of sizes.
As long as you can get some of the USA-made ones before they're gone, that's the best bang for the buck.

Guess I should have mentioned I have upgraded to CM already and want to move my CM to my home garage where as the new set will be with me in the service truck for work. I have taken my HF to the farm for on the side and they will remain there. I am looking for a last buy high quality professional set that's not SO/MAC/MATCO

Why not used truck "brand" tools? It is far cheaper than retail pricing, if you look on ebay.

I could easily do this. I do enjoy being the black sheep though. LOL
Was looking for a complete set so I could just give the girlfriend a few part numbers for Christmas.
That and this is also a point of curiosity for me also.

My main Proto set goes from ¼" to 2½" (J1200-90ASD), then I bought open stock up to 3".

Thanks! My 3/4 and 1 inch are Proto and I love things that match. It's the OCD I just do what it tells me too. Any Idea what they go up to in Metric. I would look but my phone *****. I like what I see with Wright but its about 2k for the two wrench sets.

Just watch the classified here, the Wright sets pop up from time to time for less the $100.

I have a set up proto that goes up to 2-1/2" and a a set of wright that goes up to 2" as a set and I filled in to 2-1/2." I like them both and have stopped there for now. I think it is kind of personal preference both are a great product. I almost used one today, but used a 1" drive 2-1/8" socket instead (wright). Guy wanted to cut a frozen nut off because he couldn't turn it with channel locks. Big iron is spendy but when you need it there is no substitute.
