Largest Milwaukee M18 battery?

Hey guys. Right now I own the M18 Fuel sawzall, the fuel drill and also the fuel 3/8 impact. I bought the impact first and it came with two of the compact batteries. Next I bought the drill and used one of the compacy batteries from the kit for it. When I bought the sawzall it came with the 5.0 battery. I've heard that there are 6.0 and 9.0 batteries out or coming out, but I can't find any information other than "early 2016". Does anybody have any ideas? Would I be better to buy a two pack of the 5.0 and designate one to the drill and one to the impact and keep the compacts as backups while one is charging? What would you do? The only one I keep having to recharge to get through a job is the sawzall, I can usually get through with a compact battery for a days work with the drill and the impact. Not "professional" work, just household work.

I've read the 6.0 and 9.0 batteries were supposed to be released last month ... Not sure when it's been pushed back to

How much more run time do you think between the 5 and the 6? I somewhat need them now but if it's going to be a few more weeks I'll suffer so I don't regret it

The additional charging time will be something to consider. The fast charger is almost a necessity with the 5Ah batteries.

I heard the 6.0 is on a much closer horizon than the 9.0 which is more likely to come out later this year. For whatever that's worth.

Of the three tools you listed, I can't imagine needing more than 4.0Ah. Even the M18 circular saws can do a lot of work on the single charge of a 4.0Ah battery.

Unless you are heli-dropped into the wilderness with three tools and a single battery, I can't imagine this is that critical of an issue. Larger batteries are always nice, though.

The 5.0 Ah battery supposedly communicates with some tools, unlike the 4.0 Ah battery, resulting in different tool performance.

The 6.0 battery is basically the same size/weight as the 5.0 and 4.0. It's going to be a bit more $$ when it comes out, and there are some really good deals to be found on 5.0 batteries.

The 9.0 battery is going to be a larger/heavier battery, and be very pricey... I can't imagine using one of those on the cordless tools you've listed for a reason, especially when a compact battery does what you need. If they bring a M18 miter saw to the US, then I'd consider the 9.0... or with the mag drill or maybe the SDS if I was a pro and drilled a lot of holes.

I'd stick with 5.0.
