I am very interested in starting my own metal, wood, stone laser cleaning business however I have no prior experience with such machines and need guidance with regards to what machine to chose as there are numerous models to chose from with an abundance of companies that manufacture them.

My budget is around 100-250k USD and I wanted the most comprehensive system that can get the most cleaning jobs done and one that I can upgrade later on in the future.

As the machine will be the main investment of the business it needs to be very high quality and reliable.

If anyone can put me on the right path I would highly appreciate it thanks!

See post #2:bounce:

A 250k investment requires ON SITE research, not web site research.
Go look and see and touch.

I agree however I will need to travel to another country to have a hands on experience with the machines and since I can't visit them all i just need to narrow it down to the company at least.

I've never really heard of lasers being used in this capacity - until now.

Sounds like a good idea go for it and good luck.

I love the idea and was looking at the costs just a couple days ago but the biggest question is...who is your demographic? Who is going to come to you for cleaning? Are you talking about large objects where you need a handheld laser or something 4x8 sized? With any business...its always how are you going to get your customers.

I'll tell you everything I know for $125,000, unmarked nonsequential bills please... Sequential bills throw off the lasers calibration

Thanks for the replies.

I will not be disclosing my location for obvious reasons but it's not the USA or any country where these lasers are being sold.

My demographics is quite broad really as my country is limited in terms of industrial machines that need cleaning so I'm thinking car garages, machine shops, antique dealers, one offs (marble statue cleaning etc.)

I would prefer a mobile system as there will be clients with big machines that are not easily transportable so maybe mount the laser system in the back of a pickup truck/mini van and so that it can be parked inside the shop and be used there when there is no need to go visit a client.

Not sure about the exact investment amount but I do have the funds at my disposal without the need for a loan.

If i were to be investing up to 250K on something I would want to be inspecting it and getting information in person, surely cant be that expensive to fly between Lebanon and the US?
