Laser levels

I am looking to pickup a self leveling laser for projects around the house. Stuff like installing shelving, chair rails, crown, framing, etc. Outdoor visibility would be amazing, but i don't expect it at what i want to spend, which is ~$100.

What's everyone using?

The $100 amount is soft. I can go higher, but want to keep it under control as I am not using it to make money and won't be using it all that often or for anything critical.

My Bosch GLL-2 was $70-ish and is outstanding.

I've done an aluminum subway tile back splash, chair rail and a homemade wall mount for 4 guitars with it.

I have the equivalent of the Bosch GLL 2 50. Nice enough for <$100. has the adjustable stand and camera style mount for extension poles which are very handy.

Downfalls are the beam gets fat quickly, under 30', not very bright (even inside) compared to the new green lasers. Does not sit flush to the ground (none do that I know of), which means getting clever on floor applications.

Overall worth every dollar at the $60ish I paid. But there are nicer models for not much more.

Do NOT even consider a DOT style, basically worthless imo.
