Sometimes when I edit an existing post, the "last edited by..." text shows up, and sometimes it doesn't. Any explanations or theories on that? Obviously, not a super big deal but I'd rather it not show "edited" just beacuse I corrected a grammar mistake or something.

Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work!

From experience of this and other forums including being a mod of one, if you edit your post within the same minute of the original post you won't get "last edited by...". This goes by the time set on the forum.

For example, if you post a message at 7:33 am and then go back and edit it and resave/resubmit it still during 7:33 it won't show up. However if by the time you resave/resubmit it the forum time has changed to 7:34 or later you will get that message.

The administrator also has options where they can turn the edit feature off or even allow editing only for a certain period after a post is made.

There is a 10 minute window from when you post a message before the "edited by..." will show up. We do this just so people can't go back and change what they originally said later on down the line and have it still look original.

I could swear some of the edits that displayed the "last edited" were within 10 minutes of the original. I'll keep an eye on that now. Thanks!
