I'm not sure how he ever expects this to get funded without an "As seen on TV" type video with scenes of sockets spilling all over the place and a generic white guy giving a frustrated look when he goes to use his 10mm and can't find it.

I looked for an option on the KS to just send him a set of Hansen organizers instead of donating, but that'd be too easy I guess.

This would be great for a guy like me! I have so many sockets with numbers on them. 15mm? 9/16? What does that even mean?

9/16? Could you find the other 15? I have 3/8,5/8,7/8 so I think I am missing about 5 of that series. :bounce:

He said I only needed 10 sockets. I better get rid of the other 300-400 I own.

I watched a good bit of it. I suspect he might fall a tad short of his $275000 goal. Looks like it works as far as dump them in and it sorts them, but is a bit of a monstrosity just to hold 5 sockets. My whole garage couldn't hold the sockets I have stored like that. Also, I couldn't tell if the sizes he was using were sequential or if there were skipped sizes in between each which would make it much easier to build.

As a patent attorney, I have to laugh at the statement on his Kickstarter page that US patents are pending. He his going to lose is filing fees, research charges and attorney fees.

Also, I did not know that sockets were indestructible! Had I known that, I would not have broken all those sockets over the years!

I will say it again anyone that comes up with ideas my hat is off to them. Would I buy that contraption not in a million years no matter what the price point would be.

I thought the whole point is to be able to find what socket you will need and grab it fast for the job at hand. His contraption is just not practical, except for someone wanting to dump a bucket of sockets into it.

I really wonder about this guy. He went through and made system that was more complicated than putting the sockets back in the F@CKING case. Someone please send this guy a adjustable wrench and par of vise grips please.

I can't believe I've been so stupid all these years thinking I needed to look at the numbers on the side to know what size it was little did I know I just needed that Contraption to tell me which one was the biggest one.

That video was terrible. He could have the greatest invention on Earth and I wouldn't know because I couldn't get past the first minute of the video.

That was by far the most torturous 3 minutes of my life.

I wouldn't buy just cause of the presentation, no matter practicality or price

I didn't know that was a problem that needed to be solved. I probably have a dozen rails of sockets that have been full and in the same place ready to go for the last forty years. I must be doing something wrong. What went off in this guys head that made him think this was a problem?

Ok. I should be sleeping. Now I'm laughing out loud.

Carbon. (Secret source)

I didn't watch the video. I reviewed the comments first. This won't be another amazon that you regret not investing in.

Trying to grasp how this POS actually sorts or organizes a single thing.

It seems all it does is sift out bigger sockets from falling lower.

That's what it does. It's awesome. If you need a big socket get one from the top and if you need a little socket get one from the bottom. Want something in between just grab in the middle.

I'm guessing this guy never looked in a well organized tool box. He saw a couple people who store their sockets in old paint cans and set about making the world better for them.

I couldn't get past the first 70 seconds. He's an idiot.

I bailed within 10. Why does he need $275,000 for this; no wonder he has what, 3 donors for this?

Plus once you drop your sockets into this maze o' death with wood and plexi sides, how do you go about getting them back out?

I mean, I get it (kinda) - he saw a coin sorting machine and tried to apply it to something new - bully for him. But really... wtf? :headscrat
