Dorman?

Removing broken bolts?

You need to watch South Main Auto.

.

I do plan to watch some videos before the deed.
I assume that you are not fond of the Dorman replacement.
What do you do when the OEM part has a high failure rate? These manifolds are prone to failure from the factory. So do you put another OEM on and hope they have fixed the problem? It's was the same with the radiator I just put on it. Radiator failures are very common for this generation Explorer - in both the V6 and V8 version. Doesn't seem like it's worth it to spend extra for an OEM part when the one that came with the vehicle from the factory has a high rate of failure.

In many cases, dorman manifolds are OE pieces with the part number ground off, but half the cost. It's a no brainer. I'll also reiterate, get ford MLS gaskets. Those cardboard shits from dorman and felpro won't last as long as your new manifold bolts.

I'm always amazed how people think LH drill bits are some sort of unobtanium voodoo which can only be had if you know someone with connections in the black market.

Any machinist supply carries every size you'd ever want.

mscdirect.com and move on with life

They'll ship it Next Day Air Saver at Ground rates. Order by 8pm ET and have it TOMORROW

You don't need gimmicky Norseman - that's the RoboGrip of drill bits meant to appeal to the unknowledgeable consumer. Get some non-Chinese HSS and you're done

If you get one of the fancy swirl combustion propane torch and heat each nut as hot as you can get it with that combo, you'll break way less studs. Maybe even zero! You'll probably need a hose that joins the two for flexibility in positioning the flame. Of course, oxy-acetylene is better, but way more money.

Plain old acetalyne plumbers torch from craigslist can be had for less than $100. It won't cut but is way hotter than home depot blue or yellow torches.

That's true, if you can find one. I had good luck with heating the nuts as hot as I could get them using propane. Then finally I coughed up the bucks needed for a couple of small tanks so I could use the oxy-acetylene torch I had been given a few years before.
