Latest Wideband O2 sensor options... smartphone compatible, logging, etc

Hey all I have a few older cars I'm doing some tuning work on and have always considered a wideband but never made the jump.

I do not want a permanent gauge and do want some logging so an iphone connected device makes a lot of sense to me. A friend put me on to this: https://www.plxdevices.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=897346002870

I am wondering if anyone here has recent experience good or bad with a device like this or any other options...

Mine is an Innovate, with the Bosch (LSU?) sensor. IMO gauges are mostly for looks, logging via a phone app or laptop is much superior. Word to the wise; Consider the angles the 02 sensor sits at. If it's anything beyond parallel to the ground (and the sensor tip is facing up), water condensation can really put a beating on the wideband heater. The Bosch sensor in mine is less than a year old, reads 8.** AFR even on fuel cut over-run. I suppose another recalibration is in order, to at least try and save it.

Otherwise I have been happy with innovate, I run it on a VVT engine swapped 94 miata, with a megasquirt 3. What are your hopes/reasons for going with a wideband?

I have a few older pre EFI cars (Alfa, Porsche) which I've done full rebuilds on and really want the wideband to help me tune. The alfa is MFI and has only limited leaner/richer adjustment available. The porsche, when its done, will be on Dell Orto carbs and will have more adjustment available. I had considered data logging models then it was pointed out to me that data is only so useful without RPM, throttle position etc. I realize the gauge has somewhat limited use as well and will be hard to study at WOT but for the moment I'm leaning something like this which can log 1 chan data and also has a discrete and easy to remove/hide display.
