I have a 52” husky zero turn with an 18 HP engine. The solenoid crapped out and impossible to get Husky parts. Can I use a regular auto unit? Thanks in advance

As long as the coil voltage and contact ratings are proper (or higher contact rating)--
Go for it!

Like others above said- A good old Ford relay is almost always a good call. Just don't use a Ford relay for continuous use. Which the OP is not.

Sure. Any Ford in the junkyard.
that will give them a lot of choices :D :lol_hitti

just out of curiosity, what model of Husky do you have? I was doing a search for
"Husky 52" zero turn, 18hp"
and was coming up with nothing. Most the units I came up with for 52" had 23 hp and up. Hmm? Randomly looking at different units on the Husky website shows spotty parts list. Some show engine and related others don't, just chassis.
