The shop I worked in 15 years ago used Lawson for their consumables (fasteners, electrical connectors, cutoff wheels, drill bits, etc) and I recall all the stuff being decent quality. I still have a few bits I bought from the sales rep and they've held up well to my use.
I have a set of drill bits and they are very good. I was able to buy them threw my then employer. I have no experience with anything else they handle. A few years a go I looked in to their offerings to get a feel for their prices, but local rep was a total because I was not a business.
Their drill bits are good. There is better products out there for higher prices. Some of their products are not very good. They do a ton of private label items.
My dad has been using Lawson products at his bodyshop for years. The local sales rep offers great prices to my dad since his shop is directly across from a large Municipality building outside of Philadelphia. They buy a **** ton of nuts/bolts etc. from them just about all year around. The rep just pops in my dad's place to see if he needs anything from time to time.
I have a couple cabinets full of lawson stuff. Full SAE bolt bin 1/4"-3/4" and a pull out drawer cabinet with wire terminals, weld nuts, thread serts and set screws.
The salesman is kind of a dope with a bad comb over, but the service is nice and the stuff seems to be as good of quality as I've bought elsewhere. No real complaints.
We use a lot of their stuff from bolts to penetrating oil to intake cleaner. Their drill bits seem to hold up ok under student use which is somewhat of a torture test.
