I was wondering if anyone had a good layout for a 32x30 garage? I have a pole barn right now that will have the floor poured next month. I was going to put 3 9' foot wide doors in the front, but was wondering if someone had a similar sized garage.

Thank you

I have a 28' x 36' wide garage with (2) 9' wide doors. When I had my car trailer and had it loaded with lumber, I didn't feel like unloading it that evening, but wanted to keep it in out of the weather that night. I had literally 2" on each side to get the trailer backed in. So with that, I would never go narrower than a 10' wide door, or in your case, instead of three 9' doors, I'd go with a 16' and a 9'. That's just a suggestion based on the things I've have to deal with taking things in and out of my garage

No one ever has the "perfect" garage that covers every little problem, but one has to try and think ahead as to what you may be doing in there a few years from now. I've heard some members build with a short ceiling because they will never have a lift, then a few years later have to settle for a mid-rise due to lack of ceiling height. I have one friend that has a lifted Dodge Ram, and when he has used the garage, we've had to stand n the back on the bumper and on the running boards, just to let it slide underneath the 7' height door. So I'd never go less than an 8' x 10' door in the future

Remember, the 32' dimension is to the "outside"of the building. With wall thickness that will leave you with about 31' on the inside. Three 9' doors will take up 27' of that leaving you with about a foot on either side of each door. Make yourself a mockup of that layout and see just how tight these doors will be. You will have zero room to store anything on the sides of the vehicles and even opening the doors will be tight. If you are just parking cars I guess this would work, but, if you plan to do any wrenching or work out there you will want more room around the vehicles.
I want at least 4' to 6' from any door opening to the wall. This gives room for a bench or storage along the wall and room to open car doors. 6' feet is better as that gives you room to work at the bench with a car parked inside.
Two 10' doors would be close. Putting one 4' off the corner with 4' between doors leaves you 4' on the other side. One 16' door, 6' off the corner would leave an 8' "working" space.

Thank you all for the great advice. I am going to go with 2 10ft doors. I want them equally proportioned in the front so 4 feet on each side and in the middle. I spent about four hours today digging up and moving 1 6x6. I had two in the front 9 feet apart to accommodate the 3 doors, 1 more to go.

Thankfully I have not had the concrete poured yet. I am going to pick up the mesch or fencing this week along with some plastic. I have a concrete guy that will do the cement work for $2,600, but he was not going to put down a barrier or add the mesch/fencing. I am also going to have a truck load of crushed rock delivered for the top layer under the plastic. The guy I am using does have a compactor so once I get it spread out and close to level he can/will do the rest.

As far as putting a good cement base for a lift, I plan to have a 10 ft wide by 4 ft x 6inches placed in front of my right garage door 10 feet from my back wall. Do you think that is sufficient? My garage will be 30 feet deep (32x30). Should I go 15ft instead? I just want the ability to park a vehicle in front of the lift when not in use.

My lift is about 15' in on my 30' barn. There is room for a car (sideways) in front of the lift but it is tight when a car is on the lift. Also pay attention to the garage door. My door will not open all the way with a car all the way up on the hoist. You can put in taller tracks to raise the open door above the vehicle. I plan to do this, just never gotten around to it. :)
