The craftsman.com website is pitiful. Just look at their 'sockets and socket sets' selection here.

There are some 'filters' on the left side to help you find what you're looking for. I've attached an image of the 'drive size' filter below for posterity.

Selecting '4' alone gets you 1/4" an 3/4" sizes. Selecting '1' alone gets you 1/4" and 1/2" sizes. Selecting '1' and '4' gets you 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" sizes. In the filters sections for 'Size (in)' and 'Size (mm)' you can actually select 'n' and get back all the hits for 'N/A' in that field.

Prominently at the bottom of the page is the statement "WE BUILD PRIDE". :wtf:

I have warm-fuzzy memories of craftsman from my youth and really like the idea of the brand surviving post-Sears. I especially like the idea of "made in the USA" and I want them to succeed, but their website is just embarrassing. Can't they at least hire 1 computer nerd who knows something about hand tools?

You should write them a strongly worded letter.

What they need isn't a computer nerd but someone who specializes in user experience (UX) / human interaction. The Amazon site has been about the worst example of a search engine for its entire life. That's not a lack of skill issue, it's Bezos demanding control over everything down the pixel. The Carlyle and SK sites aren't anything to be proud about either. But hey they make money so why fix what ain't broke? :lol_hitti
