LB to Raintight hub

I am trying to connect a LB to a panel with raintight hub on top (I will order when I know it is possible)

It’s actually indoors so not worry about water, with EMT leading up to the LB
But how do you grab this and tighten it without marring the threads?

One way would be to assemble the LB, ****** and hub before you attach the hub to the panel. Although it may not line up when tight the way you need. My guess is you would have to assemble it before mounting the hub to the panel anyways as you wont have room to spin the LB around to thread it on.

The other option would be to use conduit lock nuts, the lock nuts are put on the ****** first then get tightened up against the fittings to lock it in place. The allows for the LB to be positioned at any angle needed.

You are right, I think i need to assemble the LB to the hub before putting it on. I will just twist them against each together tight and until the hub flange line up with the panel

Put a little Teflon thread dealer on to keep threads from sticking.

That is not advised as can make the threaded connection non conductive.

A bit of NoAlox (used with aluminum wire terminations) will seal the threads and is conductive.

Check out a Myers Hub (its cooper crouse hinds now) which I believe is raintight and assembles in two pieces thru a single punch in the enclosure.

The top of the panel you can either use the supplied cover cap or order the hub in order to give it some threads, it's just a flange with 4 screws

I forgot about this being metal, a bit of no lox or even penetrating spray.
