This is probably my fav. garage Ive seen on this site.

Its perfect. I guess I like it because even though its very nice and well put together, its not something that most folks could never have.

Alot of the museum-dream garages are full of 10-15 high end exotics. This is a garage with nice cars, some real attention to detail, and a passion for patience and collecting.

Its superb.

Thanks,

I sincerely hope that the garage translates my passion for early 911 and Porsche period memorabilia rather than a question of money spent

Here is some recent news:

A rare Porsche dealership sign from the Sixties in NOS condition, including its original crate, I really love its design:

This is the latest project, a 1965 911 complete but in need of restoration, it's number 492. it's Aga blue, a great color:

We enrolled the 911 S/T in the 2010 Coupe des Alpes, a rallye through the Alpes over 3 days driving from Evian to Cannes:

Thats awesome! Glad to see that you enjoy your collection outside the garage! Will you do the restoration on 492 yourself?

These signs were used in the late Sixties and early Seventies to advertise Porsche showrooms and delearships:

The graphics are in "3d":

They are double sided and light up. This one is meant to be attached from the side:

This is the Jo Siffert garage in Fribourg Switzerland in the late Sixties. Siffert was a famous Porsche factory driver. You can see the same sign next to the Alfa Romeo one:

Well, it's just outstanding!
Here's one we got out of Southern California. Not a great photo but it's in the background on the left near the lift. One side of a double sided acrylic sign.
I made the metal can and put a couple of fluorescent lights to back light it.
No raised letters like yours.

One of my favorite garages!
Thanks for sharing.

Rich

Hi Rich,

Nice place you have! I see the sign in the background next to equally nice cars!, it's really nice and rare. It is the sign that was used in America at the same period. It's flat but larger than the European version. I found one as well in Monterey and mounted it in the garage:

Somebody should reproduce this for their garage.

Such an inspiration to do it right. I am currently setting up a single garage for my Spyder with large display panels of 1950s racing. Unfortunately most of my Porsche memorabilia will have to stay in storage as there is no space to display it properly. Your cars are beautiful along with the perfect space to house them - keep adding more photos!

Thanks guys, I love the garage, I'm spending so much quality time in there. I couldn't wait to get home after a couple of days on the beach.

When it was just finished, a friend told me I would soon lack space, and he was right!

During the Summer, I visited an amazing garage in Italy about 6 times the size of mine and he too had little free space left! the passion never stops....

Here are a couple more shots:

Very interesting, Milou. I saw a hood-mounted light with a yellow Cibie cover in one of your pictures and was quite amused. One of the Porsche guys had ordered such a cover for another Porsche fan and, at the local sports car club meeting yesterday, delivered the pair to the very happy owner. They immediately fitted it to his 911. There is a picture of the great event just posted at the Manila Sports Car Club's Facebook page, which you might visit when you have time.

Absolutely top notch in all respects. Your planning and meticulous attention to detail shows in the autos, garage, memorabilia and decorations/appointments. Stunning. Thank you for sharing with us.

More details...

Didn't think you wanted more details! Here are a few:

This is the old coffee machine I had. I replaced it with a more recent ivory Nespresso Machine, but I put an old gulf oil sticker on it to make it more vintage:thumbup:.

The cups have the Porsche crest on it and were made in Germany. They are quite old, not sure if they were ordered by the factory or by some german Porsche dealers at the time:

Regarding the Cibie covers, these were very recently made. I have to say that the quality of these reproductions are amazing, right down to the smallest detail:

I find them too perfect and new :shocking:. Fortunately I was able to find a pair of originals, used and dented but more vintage:

Here is a pair of matching Porsche suitcases. They sit on top of a 3rd larger one on the rear seats of a 911. They are extremely rare as quite fragile and I really love them. The were mostly sold at the factory to clients picking up their car on the tourist delivery program:

A pair of simple Heuer stopwatches from the early Seventies (cheaper than the Sebring, auto rallye, autavia, and Monte Carlo). They came in 4 colors and could be mounted on the dash. I love the design and the patinated ivory dials:

A blanket in its original Porsche bag. Factory gift in 1968 as part of the Porsche Tourist delivery program. It remained unused in the trunk of a 911 for most of its life:

There, Have I completely bored you by now?:)

Here is the current coffee machine:

The rally 911 ST next to a period dealership sign:

A Porsche sled from the early Sixties designed by Butzi Porsche with its original brochure:

Another view from the mezzanine:

Nurburgring 1967/1968 6 hour race poster and paper dispenser:

milou- stunning space, very very very cool cars, memorabilia, etc! I was curious about the usable square footage in the attic/loft as well as the height and pitch of the roof. have limited height in my garage attic and would like to compare dimensions, thanks.

I Think the dyno just makes it real.

Nice job with everything.

If the dyno labels look wrong, it's not too bad....I'll think of something, as I'm not sure where I can locate copper labels in Geneva.

The thing I enjoy about this place is changing things around until if "feels" right.....
