I have a sloped driveway in front of my garage door. Every time it rains the water runs in to the garage and against the outside wall. After ruining my drywall a few times I raised it up 4 inches off the ground. How can I incorporate some kind of drain in front of the garage without major work? It was suggested to me to cut away a 2 foot wide area the width of the door opening and drill 3 large holes and put weeping tile and rock vertically into the ground and the water will drain thru there. Think this will work? The water is about 13 feet below ground if I was drilling a well.

Would you consider a channel drain in front of the garage major work? It would have to be tied in to wherever you drain other runoff water.

A few, (several) correctly placed deep long sawed surface cuts may help control/solve your water problem ??...H
