Leaky compression joints?

One of my mini-splits wasn't cooling so the HVAC guy added Freon and a dye and will come back in 4 weeks. This mini-split has only been in service for 4 years. I ran the lines in the wall and the upper joints are accessible in an unheated crawlspace. I took photos - see below. Does this corrosion look like it is due to leaks at this location?

Looks more like soap bubbles were used to leak check during the initial installation, some brands will cause some corrosion like that if not rinsed off.

X2 on oil trace on a leak and also on the corrosion in the pics. BTW, those are flares, not compression fittings. You don't use compression fittings on HVAC lines.

I vote leak detector solution tell tell leaks due to oil around leaky fittings. Those should be flare joints not compression.
