I have a 50x 80 shop with concrete floors.
1 14'x14'
2 10'x10'
1 20'x10'
The 20x10 always leaks in heavy rain. My GC said I did not need door pockets so I dropped it. Well t is 2 years and there only idea is a floor threshold. I don't want that. The poured approach is 14" with a slight slope and then it is plenty of slope on the drive.
I want to avoid putting a threshold on the floor for looks and function. I like the dado cut the best. The dado cut would just be inside the footprint of the seal and would have drain relief cuts. The dado would be to allow the seal to press the edge not to actually collect the water. It would be easiest, cheapest and least noticeable. I know the full pocket would be the best but I think that will be hard to cut and look good. Maybe start with the dado and if it fails I'll have to decide if the threshold will look better than a cutout pocket.
What do you guys think?
