Been noticing the windows in my home have been allowing a bit of water to seep in underneath the crank handles when it's really raining hard. What's up with this? I had a quick look and didn't see anything obvious. I'm pretty handy, anything I could do to solve? I can post pics later if you guys need visuals.

These are crank out style vinyl windows.....I believe these are called Casement Windows? About 12 years old. I don't see any drain holes on the exterior.

Could you post a few close-up pictures of the windows? It would help if we could see what you have and show us where the water is leaking in.

Check the drain troughs and the slit openings to see if they have gotten clogged, you also might inspect the seals all around the window.
Are yours casement windows or awning windows?

Check the seals. The ones on our casement window are shot, and air is flying through. Ours uses a funky type of seal that is not available locally. Those seals are getting replaced pretty soon.

Basically you just have the seals around the window. When the window is closed the seals are squished and make it waterproof. Seems simple enough. I have installed a ton of casements and the two issues I see are cranks getting stripped and fogging between the panes.

I would inspect the seals. Make sure they are not twisted or compressed in an odd way. Weather stripping is just as good as a replacement or in addition to existing seal. Just make sure it is the kind that can get wet
