needing advise on a lean to. Can I attach the ledger board to the bottom cord of the truss on the gable side of my post frame building?

It's probably not designed for that load - basically half the load of the leanto's roof. I think you will need to put in a row of posts against building.

Looks like you have 2 or maybe 3 posts in that wall, so a ledger would be supported by these posts not just the truss, so it is "probably" okay.

I agree with the posters above. The truss chord isn't the right attachment point, but the posts should be fine. I'd span as many posts as possible and through bolt the ledger to it

Definitely not. No need to ask anybody. Don't don't don't.

Grasp here that when you attach it to those posts, that's not a ledger. You'll have to put a beam up there sufficient to carry the load between posts.

A ledger is supported along its length normally by something that is incredibly strong, supported at many points, and thus you only need one board. That's the idea of a ledger.

Fair enough. Supporting the load along the length is something I was thinking of but failed to mention. Terminology matters

.... but you can make a "beam" out of the bottom chord by properly adding additional ply's to the inside between the posts providing the you create some simple bearing points on each side of the posts and use the proper structural screws through out. LVL'S would be a good choice but another 3 layers of 2x10 or 12 would work. If we knew the spacing of the posts that would help.
I don't imagine that you see much snow in OK so your not asking much of this new beam.

I wouldn't. Sandwiching your metal siding between the ledger and the truss and or posts would lead to a nightmare down the road. I would feel much better keeping the lean-to as a independent structure mounted with some clearance between the metal siding.
Then again, if you removed the siding and used proper sheet metal flashing under the siding and over the ledger, then you would be fine.

No.

But can add a big ol beam between the columns and attach the ledger to it. Or infill studs between the columns so the ledger gets supported by studs.

It really depends on how large a lean-to you are building. We don't know.
