Picked up a couple of Lyons small bin cabinets at a recent estate sale. Got them both for 50 bucks. Best news, they are full of interesting stuff - the reason for the post is to share the unique storage he was using for the electrical connectors - looks like thin shower curtain holder rings.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I thankfully only have one small container with connectors, but if I had that many I would definitely be doing something like that.

Beer, music/ball game, organize your stuff; beats today's beer, video games. I bet putting those on the rings got him out of the house for some time to unwind.

I'll probably have all my **** sorted out just before I die too.

I hate when people post bogus tips like this, I tried to put my electrical connectors on some of these and while the ring terminals may work, I had to drill holes in all my blade terminals to get them to work and not one of my spade terminals would work no matter what way I tried to put them on. What a waste of time.

You’re putting the spade terminals on upside down. They go on fork tips down. They just don’t stay on that well.

The other option is to crimp a loop of wire into each first.

Stouty - I posted this not with the intention of wasting anyone's time but rather to pass along what I think is a good solution. I don't understand why is it bogus if it works? Clearly this guy didn't drill these out - maybe some style/brands of connectors don't have the right hole but these do.

Sorry, i can't see why putting terminals on a ring is any help, over just dumping them in a little bin. Just a time waster to me.
