That is super cool. Something I would make, I don't have $220 for that. But I really like the idea. I love canvas bags anyways, this is just cool factor, pass down to kids, good for snow too.

They have canvas as well, whick looks very much like my Klein.

The leather bag is cool but doesn't hold much:

"Accommodates a full set of screwdrivers, standard hammer and wrench"

I wouldn't want to rely on the strength of those two brass turnbuckles to carry the weight of my tools.

Hey notlob, just sharing what I found out last night after researching parts to build one of these for my old man (he's a superintendent, so he doesn't carry tools anymore)

Turnbuckles are totally different. But those are Copper Rivets/Burrs. Here's a link for anyone interested. and they have a good how to video on it. http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/en-usd/search/searchresults/11282-01.aspx

But I agree with you, two copper rivets for all the weight

Certainly not as cool as the tool box from Kaufmann's, but a leather tool box indeed. It was a standrard issue box for the field technicians of the local power company, in the 50's, and I inherited it a decade or so ago. I use it for storing my extra wrenches, more of a novelty and conversation piece, than anything else. It is surprisingly well made though, to stand up to field use, before the age of hard plastic cases.
