For $15 I'd buy one or two and toss them in a car kit or in one of my hiking bags. My "go-to" multitools has always been a SOG Powerlock. I found them to be a little nicer and hold up better than Gerbers and Leathermans.

I have 2 leatherman charges, one tactical and one chrome , I think they are gr8 and as a break down fitter ive normaly got one of the two one my belt or on dash of van, and they get used there not gimiky they are a useable tool.

I've always preferred Gerbers over Leathermans because the frame of the Leatherman always cut into your hand when using the pliers. Poor product design IMHO.

That blade on the Gerber isn't the most useful blade though. Straight blade AND serration? Ugh.

I have the black oxide larger military issue one, it kicks serious ***...

I've always preferred Gerbers over Leathermans because the frame of the Leatherman always cut into your hand when using the pliers. Poor product design IMHO.

They (leatherman) have fixed that

Oh yeah, there's some kickass Gerber tools out there. Just the particular one linked in the OP is one that hasn't impressed me. It feels like one of those 2-for-$10 Home Depot special buys.

Yeah I think I have the 600?
Idk, my dad has a older 400 I believe and it's sweet.
