Like many, I carry a Leatherman (Wave) everyday. I also find it necessary to carry a flashlight on a regular basis too. I need it daily at work plus my life in the shop outside of work. The flashlight varies but I prefer a 2x AA size. Similar to a Mini Maglite. This I usually just carry in a pocket but it isn't the most comfortable.

I'd like a new belt pouch that would hold both without being really bulky. I haven't found any that really jump out at me as what I want. Most of what I find also accommodates a bunch more stuff making it larger than I want. Anyone else run into this sort of thing that could recommend something.

You could look into military surplus stores. There are some Army belts that can have little pouches added to the belt

I have a older model of this one. Mine is at least 8 years old or older. I use this and my Leatherman pouch. It holders my Pelican flashlight , small channel locks, pencil, sharpie, screwdriver, and instead of the tape measure I have my flip open razor blade knife clipped on it.

It also looks like the Leatherman sheath for the "surge" can also accommodate an AA flashlight. Might be worth a look. Of course you could get a local leather guy to make you a nice custom unit as well.

Do you gain very much having a single sheath I carried a Super Leatherman and a Mag AA for years in adjacent sheaths. Nice if you can find it. The knife may not fit as well in a universal sheath. When my Leatherman sheath wore out, i realized it was not molded or had a single sewn stitch. It was just folded and riveted. I took it apart for a template, got a piece of leather from Tandy, a bag of two piece rivets and a snap kit and duplicated the original. The better quality leather lasted much longer and is still in good shape. I probably could have added a fhashlight pocket.

Skinthsolutions.com makes some of the best stuff I've seen. It's not exactly custom, but there are so many choices on how exactly it's configured that it basically is. I think that most aren't even fully made until they're ordered.

This is a nice looking piece as long as the Leatherman stays in it.

It won't do both, but looks awesome for the wave.

He takes a while to get there, so you might go to the end to see the result, then watch how it's made if you want to make it.
